Black athletes’ average SAT score was 102 points lower than the average for black students overall. White athletes’ average SAT score was 88 points lower than the average for white students overall. One expert says those numbers suggest schools are motivated by money, not affirmative action.

The BCA HRC critically analyzes and grades FBS and FCS institutions that conducted searches to fill football head coaching positions in the previous season. The fifth HRC will provide the results of 31 such searches during the 2007-2008 seasons; and resulted in only four coaches of color hired.

The Board of Directors of the Black Coaches and Administrators opposes the deceptively-titled "Civil Rights Initiatives" currently on the November ballot in the states of Colorado (Colorado Amendment 46) and Nebraska that, if enacted, would threaten programs that provide access and opportunity in those states.

I see many athletes who are literally responsible for bringing $20M per year into their campuses, yet their mothers are starving to death or homeless. This should be a shame for us all, since I’ve never seen a D-I college coach’s mother go hungry.
